The purpose of organizing and convening a Black + Gold Dialogue in our education community is to come together as Asian and Black communities are facing a surge of anti-Asian hate crimes, racial injustice, economic upheaval, and health disparities during Covid19. We hope by convening our 1st meeting, we can begin a conversation that critically examines our ethnic American history, communities that are impacted, and the urgency to build solidarity in order to heal and build on social justice and humanity for all.
