Description: Over 50 presentations (roundtable discussions, papers, posters, workshops, multi-modals) from students and practitioners from across the country will be showcasing their research in front of peers, faculty and community members. Our afternoon panel entitled "The Sankofa Initiative Panel: Activism in Praxis" will feature NYC community leaders Jamila Lyiscott (Founder, Cyphers for Justice), Nana Poku (CEO and Founder, 54 Kingdoms) and Cidra Sebastien (Associate Executive Director, Brotherhood Sister Sol), and Michaela Shelton (High school student leader, Cyphers for Justice) discussing how their advocacy contributes to social change.
