Call for Participants: 8th Annual Oratorical & Spoken Word event honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Call For Student Participants: We would like to invite all TC students to participate in the upcoming Oratorical & Spoken Word Event.

The event will take place on Wednesday, February 28th at 4:00pm in Milbank Chapel. Speeches should incorporate the event theme “The Beloved Community" and explain what we can do to contribute to Dr. King’s vision for justice and civil rights for all people. Four submissions will be selected to perform live at the event and will receive a famous speeches book and a prize valued at $70. Participants selected must also be available to perform live..

If you wish to submit an entry for the Oratorical & Spoken Word event, please upload a recorded video submission of your speech and the text version of the speech to the submission form by Thursday, February 1st, 2024.
