As part of the Teach Central America week, it is my pleasure to invite you to the workshop "Central American Youth Speak Back: The Power of Testimonio", on October 9, 2020. The workshop is presented by the Social Studies Education Program at Teachers College, Columbia University, in partnership with the K-12 Outreach Program at ILAS.
Please join us for this interactive workshop which centers the testimonios of Central American immigrant youth. Together, we will read and listen to a variety of Central American testimonios and think through how they challenge our understandings of the relationship between American empire and imperialism with Central American migration.
