This training provides a solid foundation of what advocacy and lobbying are and are not, an understanding that 501(c)(3) organizations CAN in fact lobby, and an exploration of the broad range of activities nonprofits can engage in to influence public policy. Equity Advocates and Lawyers Alliance will also explain the federal, state and local lobbying rules and restrictions for nonprofits; and best practices on how to track your advocacy and lobbying activities for impact and the IRS.
