There is something intuitive and compelling about puppets. If you turn your hand into a puppet, people will understand the gesture and give it their attention. But what exactly are we doing when we puppet, and what is it about the gestures of a puppet that captivate us?
In this hands-on workshop, led by Dr. Chris Moffett, we will explore and deepen our understanding of puppets and education, by attending to their (and our) movements. We will explore practices of animating objects, while also attending to how they in turn bring life to our own expressive gestures. Open to all who want to deepen their appreciation of the educational potential of puppets.
