Welcome to the Office of Institutional Research

The office of Institutional Research (IR) provides four main areas of support to the Teachers College community.

1) We serve as the central hub for student surveys from all administrative offices.  We administer four surveys each year: the Admitted Student Survey, the Fall Enrolled Student Survey, the Spring Enrolled Student Survey, and the Graduate Exit Survey.  The surveys are developed (and reviewed annually) in collaboration with administrative offices across the College.

2) Through extensive coordination with academic departments, programs, and faculty, IR manages the course evaluation process.   

3) We provide institutional data for a range of needs.  Utilizing data from all of the data systems at the college, we provide reports and data analysis to support the academic and administrative functions of the college.

4) We provide data to external reporting agencies – both mandated and voluntary - such as IPEDS, US News and World Report, and the Council on Graduate Studies.
