Alumnus Rodrigo Mayorga Shares His Research in New Webinar on Historical Consciousness in Chilean High Schools
Historian, teacher, and educational anthropologist Dr. Rodrigo Mayorga is a TC alumnus who received his PhD in Anthropology & Education. He is now a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Educational Justice, an adjunct professor at the Institute for History, and Pedagogical Coordinator of the School Archives Program of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
Dr. Mayorga recently shared his research through a webinar on historical consciousness in Chilean high schools, 50 years after the Pinochet coup. The webinar, hosted by the Citizenship and Democratic Education (CANDE) Sig, discussed the meaning of historical consciousness, the Pinochet dictatorship in the Chilean curriculum, and the Pinochet dictatorship in the Chilean school.
