Dear MST Graduates,
You now stand at the finish line of your academic journey. Take some time to soak it in. Mark this moment. Make sure to celebrate! An exciting future awaits.
The MST department and its three programs have long and storied traditions, with a rich history in both disciplinary and interdisciplinary research and practice. Its list of graduates is long and distinguished. I know the knowledge, skills, experiences, relationships, and so much more, that you have gained from your time here will serve you well as you go out into the world. You now join in that MST narrative – your story is forever intertwined with ours, and ours with yours.
As you celebrate this tremendous accomplishment, we encourage you to carry it forward with pride and purpose. The world needs your insight, dedication, and voice. You have something unique to offer – your experiences, curiosity, and passion. Wherever your next chapter leads, whether it be teaching mathematics or science, designing educational technology, or something else, know that we are cheering you on and that our doors are always open. You are now and forever a proud Teachers College – and MST – alum.
We also invite you to explore our graduation gallery and celebrate the incredible contributions made by your fellow MST graduates. As a collective, you all have helped shape this department and your programs into something special. Thank you for making the third floor of Thompson Hall, the fourth floor of Zankel Hall, and many other parts of campus, such vibrant spaces to be. We're so glad they are part of your story. We are so proud of you and we hope you’ll stay connected. Your journey means so much to us, and we love hearing where it takes you next.
On behalf of the MST faculty and staff, CONGRATULATIONS! The future is brighter because of you.
Cheers!
Nick Wasserman
