LAMBOOZLED!, developed in the Media & Social Change Lab (MASCLab) under the leadership of Dr. Ioana Literat and Dr. Yoo Kyung Chang, is now available for purchase from Teachers College Press.

After roughly four years of brainstorming, research, game design workshops, revisions, graphic design, and teamwork, LAMBOOZLED! is finally ready for purchase! Set in the town of Green Meadows, this deck-building card game aims to help young people sharpen their media literacy skills. As sensational headlines, sketchy URLs, and breaking news bulletins try to pull the wool over players’ eyes, they learn valuable strategies they can use to spot misinformation in the real world.

Many in the MST department have had the opportunity to play test LAMBOOZLED! and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The game is also grounded in current research on news literacy and youth media practices and won the award for Best Empirical Research at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Annual Conference 2019, in the Media, Culture & Learning Special Interest Group (MCL-SIG). You can learn more about the game on the LAMBOOZLED! website, www.lamboozled.com, and you can purchase the game through the TC Press.
