Events are places to meet others with shared passions and interests, provide a break from coursework, alleviate stress, or foster a sense of belonging. Here at Teachers College, we value the inclusion of all community members, including individuals with disabilities. Please use the tools below, proactively plan your event, and think about the common barriers to accessibility so all can come and enjoy. If you receive a direct disability-related accommodation request for an event you are hosting or would like to discuss general event accessibility, use this form.
Including the option for attendees to request accommodations in your event registration lessens the burden on guests to coordinate with another office about their access needs. This is best practice and fosters an environment of inclusion.

When you receive a disability-related request, fill out the request form on this page or reach out to OASID, oasidaccess@tc.columbia.edu, right away to coordinate the accommodation.
If you are hosting an event at TC and are promoting it through social media, emails, and promotional material, you must include OASID's Accommodation Statement. This gives attendees the opportunity to contact the OASID office independently.
