Matt Gewolb, HPSE EDD student, has been promoted to the position of Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (Academic Dean) and Institutional Strategy at New York Law School. Among other responsibilities, Matt will serve as chief administrator to ensure a well-integrated and seamless array of administrative and operational services for students and faculty. He will administer planning, management, and operational budgeting functions for the NYLS Academic Program, and work broadly to strategically position the institution, its students, faculty, and staff for success. He also will work on significant institutional policy, legal, and strategic government affairs with other chief administrators and all Faculty Committees. Matt's dissertation research, currently in process, focuses on the ways in which law school faculty members create linkages between the subject matters of their teaching and students' existing knowledge, experience and values.
