The OISS invites you to attend New International Student Welcome Day, which will be a part of the Fall 2024 New Student Orientation. This day is for all new and incoming international students in Fall 2024. Come and meet OISS staff and other members of our campus community!

Join us for introduction to OISS & mandatory F-1/J-1 workshop on visa requirements and regulations, starting with breakfast (optional)! This session will introduce you to the important aspects of your status maintenance, travel, reentry and what you must know to be in compliance with federal regulations pertinent to your visa. You will also have the opportunity to meet other international students and to win TC swag! Registration information will be sent to you via email in early July.
During the New International Student Welcome Day, you have the opportunity to attend the following sessions:
F-1 students who are new to Teachers College (including F-1 students transferring to Teachers College from other institutions) are required to attend an F-1 Visa Orientation session. Attendance at this session is mandatory. At the F-1 visa orientation OISS staff will explain essential F-1 immigration rules and requirements, including:
