Violist, Liyuan Liu, is one of twelve performing artists awarded the prestigious 2019 National Art Fund Young Artist Program, in Beijing, China. The award comes with a recording contract with China Global Video and Audio, a recital at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, as well as a national tour in major cities throughout China. She also receives a substantial grant for cultivating impact and awareness of her creative work. The National Art Fund for Young Artists seeks to promote artistic work at the highest level. Liyuan is doctoral candidate in Music and Music Education and Assistant Professor of Viola at the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, Hangzhou, China.
