Kelly Parkes is Professor and Director of Music and Music Education and the outgoing Chair of the Teacher Education Policy Committee, at Teachers College. Parkes' research examines the ways in which music teaching and learning is assessed, both in the applied studio and in K-12 settings—along with teacher preparation and teacher education in music education. She was awarded the Lowell Mason Fellow award (2018) for her leadership in the field of Music Education by the National Association for Music Education. Read more about Professor Parkes  here
