​Dr. Gary J. Natriello is the Ruth L. Gottesman professor of educational research and professor of sociology and education at Teachers College, Columbia University. His research focuses on the social organization of online learning, performance assessment, and the educational experiences of at-risk youth. Dr. Natriello has authored numerous publications on adaptive learning, digital innovation in higher education, and the use of learning analytics to drive educational change. He earned his B.A. from Princeton University and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Stanford University.

​Dr. Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz is a professor of English education at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her scholarship focuses on racial literacy in urban teacher education, culturally relevant pedagogy, and the educational experiences of male Black and Latino students. An accomplished author and poet, Dr. Sealey-Ruiz has published several books and numerous articles, including Love From the Vortex and Other Poems and The Peace Chronicles. Dr. Sealey-Ruiz earned her Ph.D. from New York University.

Dr. Laudan Jahromi is chair and professor of psychology and education. She earned her Ph.D. from Penn State University and her M.A. from New York University. Dr. Jahromi is also the associate editor of the American Journal on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Her research interests include social-emotional well-being among children and families with complex support needs, emotion regulation and executive function, caregiver coping strategies, and caregiver well-being.

Dr. Becky Reed is a full-time lecturer and field placement coordinator for the Ed.M. in school counseling programs. With both her Ed.M. and Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Teachers College, Dr. Reed is uniquely positioned to support and mentor students in the program. She takes pride in fostering a sense of community in her online courses and helping students gain experience with counseling techniques. Her research interests include the training and development of school counselors and mental health counselors, intersections of social class and education, gender diversity within education systems and psychotherapy, and college access for underserved populations.

Dr. Nicole Brittingham Furlonge is professor of practice and executive director of the Klingenstein Center, Teachers College, Columbia University. She is also an instructor in narrative medicine at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and is co-founder of LEARNS Collaborative, a catalyst for human-centered, equitable change in organizations. As a first-generation college student, Dr. Furlonge earned her Ph.D. and B.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania and her M.A. from the University of Michigan. Her research examines the intersections between listening, systems thinking, cognitive science, social justice, and school leadership.

​Dr. Oren Pizmony-Levy is an associate professor of international and comparative education at Teachers College, Columbia University, and director of the Center for Sustainable Futures. His research explores the intersection of education and social movements, focusing on areas such as international student assessments, environmental and sustainability education, and sexual orientation and gender identity education. Dr. Pizmony-Levy examines how both transnational and domestic actors influence educational movements and the broader implications of these initiatives on global education systems.
