Graduate Student Committee

Graduate Student Committee (GSC)

The graduate student committee (GSC) was born out of student initiative and aims to build and encourage a sense of belonging within the student body. It also strives to highlight students’ agency in the realization of projects born out of shared interests. Students have a voice in deciding and organizing activities in the program, hence the GSC functions as an intermediate body between students, faculty, and administration that facilitates communication and cooperation for the benefit of students creating the community and experience they want to have during their program.

Students in the GSC are familiar with both the logistics of getting initiatives off the ground, and of continuing program traditions. Responsibilities typically include: organization of colloquium receptions, Fall, Winter, and Spring parties, conversing with potential applicants, fielding questions and concerns about the program from within and outside TC, welcoming new students, and generally trying to maintain and improve community life within the program.

To contact the GSC, please email us at gsc.ahf@gmail.com and the appropriate chair will respond.
