Kahoot is an online game-based learning platform that can be played in real time or completed asynchronously. Instructors can embed questions in the quizzes in the form of multiple choice, true/false, open-ended, puzzles or polls, with the options of supplementing the questions with images and videos. Questions can be created from scratch, or imported from Kahoot’s questions bank. Slides can also be embedded to add additional content in between questions. Kahoot offers instant feedback from students and collects analytics for formative assessment to provide a snapshot of overall class performance.
