ScreenPal
What is ScreenPal?
ScreenPal is a video creation program that allows users to record videos from their webcam, capture their computer screen, and record their voice. It also provides free desktop video editing functionality, which enables users to enhance their video with various styles, music, sound effects, transitions, overlays, images, texts, etc. ScreenPal created videos can be easily uploaded to your Canvas course, TC Digital Media, or your TC YouTube channel.
Availability
A ScreenPal basic account is free for all users. TC faculty and staff should contact the TC Service Desk to request TC Pro ScreenPal site access.
Accessibility
ScreenPal meets most of Teacher College’s accessibility criteria. Users can easily add or create captions for their video using ScreenPal video editor. ScreenPal should only be required for a course for viewing purposes, as the creative elements of the product are not accessible via assistive technology.
If other accommodations are required, contact TC’s OASID for assistance.
