Center for International Foreign Language Teacher Education (CIFLTE)
The Center for International Foreign Language Teacher Education (CIFLTE) at Teachers College, Columbia University currently offers four programs: the TCSOL One-year Certificate program in New York City, the TCSOL/TESOL Summer Dual Certificate Programs, the Chinese Tutoring Program, and the Visiting Scholars Program. The first two programs are designed to offer state-of-the-art training to students and professionals interested in learning how to teach Chinese and/or English. The Chinese Tutoring Program provides one-on-one tutoring in Chinese in a blended format involving both face-to-face and online interactions. The Visiting Scholars Program offers research opportunities for scholars whose research interests are in line with the missions of the center. In addition, the center periodically offers workshops on research methodology and/or best instructional practices.
