Flip

What is Flip?

Flip (formerly Flipgrid) is a video-based web discussion tool that helps faculty and students engage in dynamic conversations about various course content. Users can make video recordings of themselves for their discussion posts instead of typing out written discussion posts and responses to others' posts. By adding annotations such as emoji, text, and stickers, students can engage with class content as they might interact with friends using social media platforms. Students can also engage in peer feedback in Flip where everyone in the class can view and respond to each other’s videos. Flip can easily be integrated into Canvas.

Availability

Flip is available through any computer devices and it is recommended for all TC faculty, staff and students to use for teaching, learning and research.

Flip is available via Canvas courses, which can be accessed using myTC portal.

Accessibility

To learn more about Flip’s accessibility, check out their official documents. If individuals require disability related accommodations to navigate Flip, contact OASID at oasid@tc.edu.
