Low Risk

Low Risk

Lower exposure risk (caution) jobs are those that do not require contact with people known to be, or suspected of being, infected with SARS-CoV-2 nor frequent close contact with (i.e., within 6 feet of) the general public. Workers in this category have minimal occupational contact with the public and other coworkers.

What you can do:

  • Continue to work remotely to the greatest extent possible
  • Only engage in on-campus research that cannot be conducted remotely
  • Follow all College recommendations for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), hand hygiene, and social distancing

    • Changes to your workspace, such as installing barriers or changing layouts
    • Additional trainings for studies with vulnerable populations or high-physical contact activities
    • Additional PPE requirements
  • Contact https://www.tc.columbia.edu/environmentalhealth/ for more information about your research lab undergoing a Job Safety Assessment.
