Eliminate the wait! Enroll in eRefund!
We encourage you to subscribe to it on MyTC. This way, instead of having a paper refund check mailed to you, the funds will be directly deposited to your bank account. This method is safer and faster than having a paper refund check mailed to you.
With electronic refunds, you can:
- Avoid long lines for receiving or cashing your refund check.
- Receive your money faster, safer, and easier.
- Keep more of what matters most -- your free time.
You can enroll in eRefund by following these steps:
- Login to MyTC (https://my.tc.columbia.edu)
- Click on the tab "Student Resources"
- Click on the link "Account Summary".
- Click on the button “Pay Now”. This will take you to the eBill & ePay site on Cashnet.
- Click on "My Account" on the left side menu.
- There you will find a section marked "Direct deposit refunds".
- Click on the link "Sign up" to the right of the text "Student Account Refund".
If you get an "error" message, then follow these steps: NOTE: Your bank must be based in the United States, and you will need your bank account information (account & routing numbers) to enroll.
Debit/credit card information is not a valid bank account and will not be able to receive refunds.
