TC Campus Access Status: TCID-Only Program

General Access

General access to TC’s campus is limited to TC identification holders only* effective Friday, May 3, 2024, at 6:00 a.m. Campus access will be available from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm daily. Access to the campus is limited to the Zankel Hall entrance. TC Community members will still be required to swipe for access. 

*Note that Hollingworth and Rita Gold families may enter at the 528 driveway booth with proper program-issued identification. 

Guests & Visitors 

TC Campus

• Guests and visitors to the campus must be pre-registered through their respective departments.
• All academic and nonacademic department guests & visitors MUST be pre-approved by a supervisor or manager within their respective departments.
• A list of guests & visitors should be provided to TC Public Safety by emailing Public Safety at publicsafety@tc.columbia.edu 24 hrs in advance of or at the latest by 7:00 pm the day prior to their arrival.

Individuals who are not on the pre-approved list will not be permitted campus access.  

Residence Halls 

• As of this time, there are no restrictions for guests and visitors to the residence halls. 

Events & Programs

While TC campus access is limited to TC identification holders only, events can proceed as scheduled with the following established pre-registration procedures for guest attendees and visitors. 

All event producers and program administrators will need to do the following to host an event or program on the campus: 

• Pre-registration will be required for all attendees, (this includes TC and Non-TC affiliates) via Eventbrite, Google Sheets, etc.  
• The list of pre-registered attendees will need to be provided to TC Public Safety 48 hrs in advance by emailing it to publicsafety@tc.columbia.edu.  
• Event producers and program administrators will need to staff event/program check-in on the day of the event or program. (i.e., being physically located in the lobby or tabling in Zankel)
