ACE, Powered by Lattice
ACE (Achieve, Contribute, Excel) is TC's performance management approach, designed to help every employee perform and grow by connecting individual contributions to the College's Strategic Priorities.
Powered by Lattice, ACE supports an ongoing performance experience where employees and managers set meaningful goals, discuss progress, recognize contributions, and adjust priorities throughout the year.
Through ACE, employees can better understand how their work supports their team, advances the College's priorities, and ultimately impacts our students, community, and one another.

π FY26–27 Goal Setting: September 14 – December 15, 2026
Goal Setting is the first stage of the ACE Performance Management cycle. Employees and managers should work together to develop meaningful goals that connect individual contributions to team, departmental, and College priorities.
As you develop your goals, consider:
- How does my work support the College's Strategic Priorities?
- What outcomes will demonstrate the impact of my contributions?
- What skills or capabilities would I like to strengthen this year?

π€ 1:1s
Regular 1:1s are an important part of the ongoing performance experience, giving employees and managers dedicated time to stay connected throughout the year, not just during formal performance milestones.
Lattice provides a shared space to prepare for and structure these conversations, capture discussion topics, and maintain continuity from one conversation to the next. Use 1:1s to discuss priorities, accomplishments, challenges, development, and support needed.
By keeping 1:1s in Lattice, employees and managers can build on previous conversations and maintain a consistent connection between day-to-day work, goals, and ongoing development.

π Feedback (Giving & Feedback)
For Managers
Managers play an important role in creating opportunities for meaningful feedback and recognition. Because employees often contribute beyond their immediate teams through cross-functional projects, committees, councils, and other institutional work, managers can request feedback from colleagues who have directly experienced an employee's contributions. This can provide a broader perspective on an employee's work, contributions, and impact.
For Employees
Employees can request feedback for themselves from colleagues they work with to gain additional perspective on their contributions, strengths, and effectiveness. Employees can also give feedback to colleagues, including recognizing the good work they see happening across TC.
Creating and facilitating opportunities for meaningful recognition is an important part of our culture. Feedback gives us another way to make great work visible, acknowledge others' contributions, and strengthen a culture of appreciation across TC.
Whether requesting or giving feedback, focus on work-related contributions, behaviors, and impact. Feedback is most meaningful when it is specific, constructive, and grounded in direct experience working together.
