2021 Benefits Open Enrollment Information
Dear Colleagues,
The annual benefits open enrollment period is coming soon. Please refer to the details below.
ANNUAL BENEFITS OPEN ENROLLMENT
The annual Benefits Open Enrollment period will begin October 20th and will run through November 2nd. Additional details, including plan rates, will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
During Open Enrollment, participants may change their benefit elections, update dependents, or contribute to a Flexible Spending Account (“FSA”) or Health Savings Account (“HSA”).
In anticipation of the Open Enrollment period, please be reminded:
- FSA participation does not carry over into 2021. Please note that elections are required in order to continue in the program for 2021. If no election is made, FSA participation will end on December 31, 2020.
- HSA participation requires re-election. However, contributions can be modified throughout the year should a change be necessary based on expenses.
Employees who recently joined Teachers College that have enrolled in the benefits plans and have any outstanding tasks (such as dependent status verification) will not be able to start open enrollment until these tasks are finalized. Please contact your HR representative for assistance.
BENEFITS FAIR
We will be hosting a Virtual Benefits Fair later this month. Additional details on this event will be provided shortly.
YOUR NEW BENEFITS APP
As we approach our annual Open Enrollment period, we would like to announce another option to access your benefits information – the BenefitPlace app.
The BenefitPlace app has the same functionality as the TC Benefits portal located on the MyTC intranet. Within the app, employees may:
- Enroll in benefits as a New Hire
- Submit Annual Open Enrollment elections
- Report and submit Life Events
- Review elections at any time
- Review cost, plan design, and coverage
- Upload an image of ID cards for easy access
To get started, please download the free app today. Managing your benefits whenever and wherever you go is as easy as 1-2-3.
- Install the BenefitPlace app from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
- On initial set up, enter company ID: TC
- Log-in using Single Sign-On. ("SSO")
