Childcare Resources for Parents
Dear Colleagues,
As you may be aware, NYC public schools have temporarily suspended in-person classes and moved to 100% remote learning. Other local schools may take similar action as SARS CoV-2 infection rates continue to increase.
We would like to remind you of a number of resources available to you during these challenging times.
Bright Horizons Back-Up Care
Employees are able to access 200 hours of back-up care per academic year (Sept – Aug). Normally the maximum number of available hours is 120. However, through August 31, 2021, we have increased the limit to 200 hours. Click here for registration and be sure to log-in using:

Bright Horizons’ SitterCity and Years Ahead
TC employees have access to enhanced free membership so you can search for an onsite or virtual tutor to assist with remote learning or to help develop learning pods. Access to a discounted nanny placement service is also available. Click here for more details on SitterCity and Years Ahead.

Additional Information:
NYC Department of Education Learning Bridges
Provides free child care options for a limited group of eligible children attending NYC DoE schools from 3-K through 8th grade on days when they are scheduled for remote learning. Details are available on the NYC Schools website.
Employee Assistance Program
The College’s EAP provides a wealth of resources including clinical emotional health, wellness, and work and life benefits for you and your covered dependents.
